There is no shortage of things to do in Orleans. For outdoor adventurers, there are a multitude of nature trails for biking and hiking as well as an abundance of parks and green spaces. Petrie Island is a favourite spot for the area’s residents with its sandy beaches, walking trails, lagoons with turtles, and a nature centre built to educate visitors about the flora and fauna in the area. In addition, there are canoe and kayak rentals, beach volleyball courts, and a concession with a full bar. Don’t forget to take a trip down Innes Road to visit the soccer fields and play structures at Millenium Park.

There is extensive bus service to the rest of the city although a vehicle is recommended to get around the area itself which makes commuting to Downtown Ottawa a breeze!
